I am nothing of a builder, but here I dreamt I was an architect

I had my first day of teaching at school #1.  This was my last first day (does that make sense?  I feel like I can't speak either language anymore).  The teachers I had today really wanted me to speak only English, so I tried to do that, even though the kids looked at me like this half the time.
QUOI???

The kids think my name is funny because a Mégane is a car in France.  It makes it easier for people to be able to pronounce my name when I tell them it's "just like the car", but the kids think it's hilarious.  I really don't know if they're laughing at me or with me, but I don't really care so long as they behave themselves in class...which they mostly do, because the teachers stay in the room with me.

I want a Renault Mégane exactly like this one when I grow up.

Just when I was getting good at the "what's your name" lesson, now I have to think of something else.  Being a teacher is hard!  I was a little bit stressed about having to plan lessons for my CM2 students, because I don't know what they've already covered.  Luckily, when I brought this up to one of the teachers today, he gave me two huge folders of material, with the promise of more to come on Monday.  Sweet!

One of the hardest parts is not laughing when they say something unintentionally funny.  The CE2/CM1 class wanted to pick English names, and the girl who ended up being "Amy" stood up and said, "Hello, my name is Hammy."  It was all I could do not to laugh.
