10/10/10

Today is 10/10/10.  It's especially awesome for all of us over here who put a lot of thought into remembering to always write the date "backwards" from what we're used to (that is, dd/mm/yy) - today it doesn't matter! 

I'm also posting this at 10:10.  Nerd alert!

So this post was definitely just an excuse to talk about 10/10/10.  So let's see, something about my life in France...oh I know!  Last night I saw this movie.

"Let Me In"

I went to see it with my housemate Nicolas, and it ended up being an excellent choice because (a) I like vampire movies and (b) even though it was dubbed in French, it was incredibly easy to understand.  I know that's because it was heavy on mood and cinematography to tell the story, and thus didn't rely on a lot of complicated dialogue (it was pretty much stuff like "would you like me even if I weren't a girl?"  "why?"  "no reason" etc) but I like to pretend the reason I understood it is because I have amazing listening comprehension skills in French.  Hey, there's no harm in letting myself pretend to be fluent for 2 hours.
