After three months of nail-biting, I found out on Tuesday (04/06) that I got accepted to TAPIF and my first choice Académie! Seeing "Teaching..." and "Acceptance..." on the message screen of my Blackberry was enough to send me into a screaming fit, opening the e-mail to find out that it was the Académie de Poitiers was enough to add a happy dance and a chorus of "Don't Stop Believin'" into the mix as well! Suddenly all the document-scanning, essay-writing, and stressing out seems totally worth it. It's so surreal though, I can't believe in just a little over 5 months I'll be stepping off the plane (or jumping off the train, as experience seems to indicate) in France.

And here's one more for good measure, divided up by region. The Académie de Poitiers is in the Poitou-Charentes region. I spent some time here with a wonderful host family in 2005, and I'm very very excited to go back!
