Look out, there's an American about!

I know I already posted a lot today, but I thought this was post-worthy.  Marie just told me that it said in the newspaper that there was "an American" (that's right, AN ACTUAL AMERICAN!) in La Couronne.  That....couldn't possibly be me, right?

Either it is me, and I'm famous, or there's two of us!  If it's the latter, I need to seek out him/her and make a teeny-tiny La Couronne expat community of 2.

Either way, the fact that having "an American" here is newsworthy strikes me as hilarious.  It kind of reminds me of, "wild animal spotted in the village today!

"No, I saw it!  It was definitely either an American or a hippo."

Even if that article wasn't referring to me, I really really hope it said, "exercise caution when approaching the American.  They are relatively harmless, but be on guard for sub-par French.  May use charades to communicate."

  1. Hey, I'm glad you made it to France safely. I think your posts are hilarious, and I hope you continue to like the Angouleme area - it looks cute. When you come up for OFII, let me know and we can get coffee or something. Cheers!
